Roots of Resistance is a community-based movement committed to empowering Black birthing families through education, advocacy, and radical truth-telling.

Founded by birth justice advocate Cherise Doyley, our mission is to equip families with the tools, knowledge, and confidence to navigate the medical system safely and boldly.

Through our Roots Of Resistance Initiative, we offer a wide range of educational classes for parents, partners, and providers including:
